Schedule and Topic
10am – Karma is Action
Did you know that ‘karma’ is the Sanskrit word for “action?” And that karma is actually changeable? Come learn more about the often misunderstood teaching of karma, and how we can proactively change our karma through the accumulation of wisdom that comes with Buddhist practice. Please feel free to ask questions and share experiences as we all deepen our understanding of karma together.
1:00pm – The Ten Worlds
Do you tend to dwell in a state of anger? Or more so in a state of joy? The Buddhist principle of the “Ten Worlds” describes the fluctuation of life states that we experience from moment to moment by defining them into ten life conditions or “worlds.” Let’s learn together how chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo to the Gohonzon enables us to manifest the life condition of Buddhahood in our lives.
