Restorative Yoga Kirtan

Immerse yourself in comfortable yoga postures while chanting soothing Sanskrit mantras. This will be a cozy evening of focused and deep connection to the Divine. We will begin with a very gentle warm-up of easy stretches and pranayama, then relax into long-held restorative yoga postures that are supported by props, accompanied by harmonium chords and voice. You can choose to just listen and enjoy the sacred sounds of mantra, or softly sing along via call-and-response style. Wear comfy clothes, bring an eye pillow or towel to cover the eyes. Feel free to bring any favorite blankets or cushions that make you feel at ease, or special items to place on the altar.
Betsy Ullstrup has been practicing yoga and kirtan for over 20 years and teaching yoga asana for over 15 years. She is versed in many different modalities but has a special place in her heart for restorative asana and Bhakti (devotional) yoga. Kirtan has been an extremely beneficial and significant part of her spiritual path and she loves sharing it with others.
