A study of animal wisdom: The TOTEM YOGA Workshop!
Join Julia for an afternoon of yoga practice followed by snacks & discussion about the deeper symbolism of yoga as it relates to the natural world.
Through yoga we embody our animal side & remember to trust our instincts. When we start looking for guidance, wisdom, or divine connection that seems to be when we find it. The more we study NATURE, the more we understand ourselves. By relating to nature, we see the deeper meaning of being human. Nature re-minds us to embrace our cyclical rhythms and personify our inner creature, as does yoga!
We will open the workshop with a short introduction, followed by a playful vinyasa flow. You will be guided through a gentle warm-up, heartful heat up, stretching section & cool down. The flow is designed based on science & safety using natural body movements so that students are set up for success & relaxation. All levels are welcome. You can expect a very mindful class that fosters strength, power, poise and inner peace.
Then bring your journals and be ready for a quiet meditation, reflection & group discussion about the essence of ishvara pranidhana; the spiritual & magical powers of creatures great & small!
(Snacks, spare yoga mats & journals will be provided.)
